Introduction

El Alto city is considered the highest and youngest city in Bolivia. It was founded in 1985 with a current population of 1.5 million and with an altitutd approximately of 4.100 meters above see level.

Because of that come and be part of our amazing city tour at El Alto city.

Visit places which are not touristic but are traditional and have an interesting and important information to understand so much better this young city with a huge indigenous population.

Itinerary

DO NOT FORGET TO RECOGNIZE OUR GUIDE WITH THE GREEN UMBRELLA!!!

We meet at 11:00 a. m. or 03:00 p. m. at the purple line of the cable car (Obelisco station at La Paz city).

By cable car we go to visit the cemetery at El Alto city after that we will visit the witches market to be part of the telling fortune read by a shaman through coca leaves, on the way we will visit a popular vegetables and fruits’ market in order to take again the cable car to go to the cholitas market (indigenous women dressing a particular and beautiful outfit) and also on our way we will see the gorgeous and latest fashion in indigenous architecture better known as a Cholet. On Thursdays and Sundays you will be able to see and be part of the Southamerica’s biggest flea market.
